According to her manager, Lisa Banes, who starred in the films Gone Girl and Cocktail, was hospitalized in severe condition Saturday night (local time) after being injured in a hit-and-run accident in New York City.
Banes, 65, was struck by a scooter or motorcycle near Lincoln Center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Friday evening as she crossed Amsterdam Avenue on her way to visit her alma school, the Julliard School, according to manager David Williams in an email to The Associated Press.
Banes was being treated for "serious injuries" at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, according to Williams.
The hit-and-run victim has not been identified, and no arrests have been made.
Banes has acted in several television episodes and films, including supporting appearances in Ben Affleck's Gone Girl (2014) and Tom Cruise's Cocktail (1988). She's appeared in Nashville, Madam Secretary, Masters of Sex, and NCIS, among other shows.
