According to various reports on Friday, the US is tracking two Iranian Military ships that have passed the southern tip of Africa and are heading to the Atlantic Ocean, the farthest west that Iranian navy ships have gone.

According to CNN, Politico, and Fox News, US officials have been closely monitoring the Makran and Sahand's travels for the past two weeks, and believe they are on their way to Venezuela in South America. Both regimes are friends.

It's unclear what cargo the ships are transporting, but one of them was pictured with seven miniature attack boats on its deck, similar to those that frequently target US Navy ships in the Persian Gulf. According to some officials, they may be attempting to deliver weapons to Caracas.
