Chris Hemsworth surprised us all with an eye-popping photo to commemorate the conclusion of filming for Thor: Love and Thunder — and while he was at it, he also marked 'National Don't Flex Day.'
The 37-year-old has been filming the upcoming Marvel movie in Australia with a cast that includes Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Matt Damon.
He verified the shoot's completion on Instagram, releasing a casual photo in which he flaunted his bulging muscles while wearing a white vest top and black pants.
‘That wraps up Thor Love and Thunder,' says the actor. ‘It's also national don't flex day, so I thought this very relaxed pic would be suitable,' says the actor. As he posed alongside filmmaker Taika Waititi, Chris captioned the photo.
‘It's going to be bats**t insane off the wall funny, with a heartstring or two pulled.'
‘There's a lot of love here, and there's a lot of thunder!' Thank you to the entire cast and crew for another fantastic Marvel adventure.
No one was more impressed than his fellow superhero performers, despite the fact that fans were unsurprisingly thirsty in the comments area.
‘I'm not terrified,' Leslie Jordan remarked, expressing what was on all of our minds. You're nothing [sic] without your hammer.'
The fourth installment of the Thor franchise is set to hit theaters next May, and it appears like the cast had a great time filming the picture in Australia.
Last month, photos of Taika enjoying loose with Tessa (who plays Valkyrie) and his rumored girlfriend Rita Ora nearly rocked the internet when the three were seen snuggling up over nice beverages.
As they caught up with Tessa, photos acquired by Mail Online showed the producer and Anywhere singer appearing to lean in for a kiss.
More photos show the actors laughing and hugging each other, with the Dear White People actress leaning into Taika's chest.
The photos sent fans into a frenzy, with all three celebrities trending on Twitter shortly after they were released.
According to reports, Marvel executives were dissatisfied by the buzz and ‘reprimanded' the Oscar winner.
The behavior depicted in the photo, according to a source close to Thor: Love and Thunder is "not precisely the image they're seeking to present in regards to one of their largest properties."
Despite Taika's reputation as a "party animal," Marvel executives believe the photographs "stepped a line," according to the Daily Telegraph.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on May 6, 2022.
