EasyJet and easyJet holidays have introduced a new online Traffic Light System information page to assist customers in navigating the ever-changing protocols and restrictions that must now be adhered to while traveling internationally.

It will assist UK customers in planning and preparing for travel by explaining the orange, amber, and red list destination criteria.

The website, which is driven by travel technology provider Smartvel, will be updated with the most up-to-date information as the UK Government makes announcements and countries pass through the traffic light categories.

"We want to help our customers work through the different travel conditions and restrictions so they can feel secure about making their booking this summer," said Sophie Dekkers, easyJet's Chief Commercial Officer.

"Our new Covid-19 Travel Hub will provide them with the services and tools they need to schedule their next trip," says the company.

Customers who book flights with easyJet and packages with easyJet holidays profit from flexible booking policies as part of the company's 'Security Promise,' which allows them to change their plans.

This summer, all easyJet customers will be able to change their flights at no charge up to two hours before departure, or submit a voucher.

Customers will switch to any of the airlines currently on sale flights until September 2022, as well as any other destination on the airline's 35-country network in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Customers can also seek a refund for their flight up to four weeks before departure if a mandatory hotel quarantine affects their travel destination this summer, even if their flights are already running.

When customers book flights and holidays on easyJet.com, the airline has partnered with licensed testing firms throughout Europe to provide customers with affordable testing options, including PCR tests starting at £60 if needed for their trip.

In addition, the airline has introduced a new travel insurance package that provides Covid-19 coverage as a regular feature.

Customers who are diagnosed with the virus during a trip will be covered by the new Covid-19 travel insurance, which will include the necessary changes or refunds, as well as reimburse customers for any required medical treatment if they are diagnosed during their trip.
