In the Senedd election, Labour won half of the seats, matching their best result to date.
Labour has 30 seats in the Welsh Parliament, according to the official tally. With 16 seats, the Conservatives have overtaken the Liberal Democrats as the second largest grouping.

Plaid Cymru has 13 seats, the Lib Dems have one, and UKIP has lost both of its seats.

After early polls indicated Labour was facing its worst-ever outcome, the party has described its success as "an exceptional collection of results."

Mark Drakeford, the first minister, was re-elected to the Cardiff West constituency with nearly half of the vote.
