COVID-19 reaches the highest peak on the World

With a worldwide resurge in the number of cases, the Corona Virus Pandemic has been creating another peak in the curve.

However this time, the COVID has been repeated from the peak of the world. This is the first time the virus has been reported from Mount Everest.

A Norwegian climber looking to reach the top of the world was tested positive on his way. It has been reported that Norwegian Erlend Ness and a Sherpa porter with his has been tested positive.

“I really hope that none of the others get infected with corona high up in the mountains,” Ness said to a Norweigian news outlet NRK. “It is impossible to evacuate people with a helicopter when they are above 8,000 meters (26,246 feet).”

Ness was evacuated to Kathmandu for treatment in the hospital from Mt. Everest.
