Police and demonstrators faced off in Brooklyn Center on Tuesday night at the demonstrations over the killing of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old black man, in the Minneapolis suburbs.
For the third night in a row, protesters rallied outside the police station, chanting Wright’s name and “Black Lives Matter”, as police sought to disperse the “unlawful assembly.”
Police and demonstrators faced off again in Brooklyn Center after nightfall, with hundreds of people gathered in the city's heavily guarded police headquarters, now ringed by concrete barriers and a tall metal fence, and where police in riot gear and National Guard soldiers stood watch, American News reported.
60 people have been arrested by police in connection to the Demonstrations in the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota State Patrol Chief Matt Langer stated.
