Authorities discovered two gunshot victims at Riverside Tech Park in Frederick, Maryland, after they responded to a call of an active shooter in the park.

The injured people were wounded and were flown to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said both victims were currently in critical condition. He added that the police also received assistance from FBI Baltimore.

“It’s terrible,” Chief Lando said of the shootings in Frederick. “It’s very tragic. It’s happening too frequently. Every time we turn on the TV, we’re seeing something like this happening and now it’s happening in our backyard.”

The man involved in the shooting was shot by personnel and Pronounced dead at the scene. The 38-year-old was a Navy Medic.

NAavy informed via a tweet that he was a Navy Corpsman.

The Police department has said it will reveal further information via a press conference.
