Many tragic events took place after the army seized power in Myanmar on February 1, 2021. Even now, it has not stopped. Meanwhile, an incident that disrupted the humanitarian situation occurred in the city last Tuesday, March 23.

The army's junta government shot and killed a 7-year-old girl, Khin Myo Chit, while she was in her father's arms. This incident has raised a question mark over human civilization.

Khin Myo is the youngest martyr to be killed in Myanmar's restoration of democracy protests over the past month and a half.

Last Tuesday, in a frenzy of power, the Myanmar army raided villages and towns and reached Khin Myo's house. During the military search, Mayo ran and slipped into her father's arms. However, Khin Myo, who was in her arms, was shot in the abdomen after the army shot her father.

She cried and hugged her father. However, no one came forward to rescue him. Eventually, Khin Myo, covered in blood, died in his father's arms.

Her family told the BBC that the girl had been shot dead by the army.

Two dozen children had been killed during the protests, reported an international non-government organization, which has been working in the field of child. They have also expressed significant concern over this.

May Thu Sumaya, a 25-year-old sister of the deceased 7-year-old girl, told the BBC that armed soldiers had entered her house during a search that day. "The army kicked open the door and asked my father if there was anyone else in the house," she said.

She went on to say, "When my father said no, he was accused of lying and the house was searched. At that moment, my sister panicked and ran to my father's lap. That's when the army fired."

Other members of the Myo family were also brutally beaten by the army. They are currently in custody.

In a conversation with Myanmar Muslim media, Myo's father said that his daughter was crying in agony till the end. He said, "My daughter was crying and hurt. My father told me I can't bear it."
