Junta-controlled Armed forces in Yangon took over the Main roads of Thaketa Township's main road shouting “not go back until the people are dead.”

Aung Kaun, a 15-year-old grade 11 student was killed by the police in the Thaketa township, and another woman was shot in the leg.

Locals said that the soldiers asked if they want them to repeat the fate of Hlaing Tharyar, a neighboring township where dozens of protesters were killed in crackdowns.

One local told Myanmar Now that a soldier said, “you want your places to be burned, don’t you? We’ll burn the entire street to the ground.”

More than 232 people have been killed by the security forces in Myanmar so far in series of police crackdowns. 11 people were killed on Saturday and more have been killed on Sunday.

The country has seen brutal bloodshed as the military continues to slain people on the streets, in the custody, and sometimes even inside the house. Burmese people are protesting fiercely against the military regime which has been enforced upon them after Junta overthrew the elected government that had more than two-thirds majority in the parliament.
