The White House Treasury Department said $242 Billion has been sent from the White House since US President Joe Biden signed the bill last week.

Most of those payments were made by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as direct deposits in the bank accounts of the individual recipients.

The Treasury Department also mailed roughly 150,000 checks, which worthed about $442M in the total.

The Payment Process of the America Rescue Plan started last Friday.

According to the US Treasury, the recent payments have been sent out for 90 million Economic Impact Payments.

Officials say the additional batches of payment will be sent in the coming weeks.
