According to a report by, Afghanistan's Khaama Press 45 Taliban were killed in the Kandahar and Herat provinces of the country.

Afghan Military of Defense released a statement on Monday saying 34 Taliban-affiliated members were killed in the Southern Kandahar province of the country.

The Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces destroyed a large number of weapons and ammunition during the Process. 

Afghanistan's MoD said that 34 Taliban insurgents were killed and seven were injured during the skirmish.

The MoD stated that the Taliban had planted 200 landmines in the Zhari and Arghandab districts of the province. It stated that the landmines were planted with an intention to target Military Personnel.

Taliban has not yet commented on the incident.

Also, in the Herat province, 11 Taliban were killed by ANDSF.

Herat Province officials stated in a press release that heavy causalities were inflicted on the Taliban during a Joint clearance operations.
