Roberto Colon, 66, has been arrested by the Boyton Police for the suspected murder of his wife. His wife, Mary Stella Gomez-Mullet, had gone missing since February 20.

Police discovered her remains on February 28 at Colon's home along, S.E. 28th Court on Friday night.

According to Police report Colon had said that he had an argument with his wife on the day she had gone missing. He said he fired her as his mother's caretaker. He believed his wife defrauded his mother of thousands of dollars. He said his wife was gone after he came back from a doctor's appointment.

He reportedly shouted at the detectives that his wife was "swimming with the fishes" and they needed to "find the body, find the body," according to the local news station.

The missing person's report was filed two days after Gomez-Mullet went missing.

On February 23, police found a bloody purse, about a mile away from Colon's home. Police said that the purse had paperwork related to the area of Hialeah where Gomez Mulett lived with Colon's mother.

The CBS12 reported that the man told police his wife bumped into a wall at his home and dropped her phone, causing the battery to pop out when he was questioned the second time.

Colon allowed police to search around his house.

Police arrested Colon on Friday on a narcotics charge due to the marijuana in his home, officers overheard Colon tell a friend, "There's one thing they can't do, they can't put what's his name, Humpty Dumpty back together again." CBS12 sites the arrest report in which Colon said, "There's really nothing that they can take from my house, you know. It's no use to them in prosecution, except parts and sh*t."
