Quoting 'psychological pain', Tokyo has requested Beijing to cease the anal swab tests for COVID-19 on Japanese citizens.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato stated the government has received no proper response to their request.
He added that the government would continue to ask for the same until a positive response is received.
In a conference, Kato said they are yet unknown about the number of Japanese who underwent this painful test procedure.
The same test procedure was required for the US diplomats in the country.
