Nepal’s Supreme Court Rescinded House Dissolution Ordering The Govt. To Call a House Meeting By 13 Days

The Supreme Court of Nepal has overturned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision of dissolution of the House of Representatives. The proposal was passed by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the 20th of December, 2020. 

Chief Justice Cholendra Shamser-led constitutional bench has passed a verdict on the dissolution case ordering the government to call a meeting of the House within 13 days.  

The constitutional bench included Tej Bahadur K.C., Sapana Shrestha Malla, Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, and Anil Kumar Sinha.
