China's Broadcasting regulator announced on Thursday that they are pulling the British Broadcasting Corporation Channel BBC World news off the air in the country.

The National Radio and Television Administration pf China said that BBC World news was found to have violated the regulations on radio and television management and overseas Satelite TV channel management,

It said that BBC was Biased against China in China-related reports and undermined China's national interests and solidarity. The regulators said reporting must be true and impartial and BBC failed to do so.

"As the channel fails to meet the requirements to broadcast in China as an overseas channel, BBC World News is not allowed to continue its service within Chinese territory. The NRTA will not accept the channel's broadcast application for the new year," the regulator said in a statement as reported by Xinhua.
