According to reports, the players of the English club Liverpool could not enter Germany due to the growing corona epidemic in Europe.

Liverpool was scheduled to travel to Germany on February 16 to play the first leg of the pre-quarterfinal against German club RB Leipzig in the Champions League. However, the German government has refused to admit the player because of Corona.

Germany has banned travelers from entering the country after a new strain of the coronavirus was found. The UK is also a member of this group. The German Interior Ministry said in a statement: "We have reconsidered this. However, this rule cannot be waived.

In Germany, the rule lasts until February 17. Liverpool players are preparing to play at a neutral venue after not getting a chance to enter Germany. CEO of Leipzig, Oliver Mintzalaf said that they have been in discussions with the government and the country as the game is important for them.

Leipzig reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
