Facebook Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg says, the company is planning to reduce political content from its news feed. He says Facebook plans to reduce political content and make the political groups less visible from the news feed.

In a very long and post on his Facebook Account, Facebook CEO said, "We’re continuing to fine-tune how this works, but now we plan to keep civic and political groups out of recommendations for the long term, and we plan to expand that policy globally."

He added, "we're currently considering steps we could take to reduce the amount of political content in News Feed as well. We're still working through exactly the best ways to do this."

While other social media platforms have been suppressing political opinions dubiously, Facebook has been quite open to suppress the opinion that it feels is inappropriate.

The very long and quite tedious post of Mark Zuckerberg also acknowledged the suppression of political talks is not new.

Zuckerberg in his post also defended the decision to share Whatsapp's user data with Facebook.

He also compared Whatsapp with Apple's iMessage. He said WhatsApp is clearly superior to iMessage when it comes to data protection.

He said, "We have a lot of competitors who make claims about privacy that are often misleading. Apple recently released so-called nutrition labels that focus largely on metadata apps collect rather than the privacy and security of people's actual messages. But iMessage stores non-end-to-end encrypted backups of your messages by default unless you disable iCloud, so Apple and governments have the ability to access most people's messages."

Facebook's recent move continues to get a wide range of criticism across the political spectrum. "It has been really scarier what power these tech-giants possess over us," People say.
