The viral photo of Senator Sanders' inauguration wardrobe has helped raise $1.8M for charity. Mr. Sanders announced on Wednesday that the money has been raised through the merchandise called "Chairman Sanders."
The Merch, which was available on Bernie's website, has now gone out of stock due to the overwhelming demand for the item.

The photo taken by AFP Photographer went viral as a meme. Sanders had worn handwoven mittens made by an elementary school teacher in Vermont as a gift.
