Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’s ex-wife MacKenzie Scott on Tuesday has donated nearly $1.7 billion to different organizations involved in the social causes.

She donated the fund to the groups involved in philanthropic causes such as healthcare, LGBT rights and racial justice.

MacKenzie Scott has changed her surname after her divorce from Bezos.

The Hill reported, writing on a post she said that she pledged to give a majority of her wealth "back to the society that helped generate it".

On her post she list out 116 organizations she supports and revealed she donated $586.7million to racial equality causes as a part of the Giving Pledge, which she signed following her 2019 divorce.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, she is the second-richest woman in the world with a net worth of $60billion.
