via- BBC

People now are required to wear face-covering in public space in England.

Face masks are compulsory in supermarkets, shops, banks, building societies, post offices, train and bus stations, and airports, the Government has announced.

The rule has been in force since 24 July.

Those who failed to do so could be fined up to £1oo or £50 within 14 days.

Under the new regulations, restaurants and pubs, gyms, hairdressers, libraries, museums, and theatres, face coverings are not required in such places.

Children under 11 years old and those with ‘certain disabilities” will be free.

Shopworkers do not have to wear face-covering masks.
