US President Donald Trump finally wears a mask in public on Saturday since the pandemic started as COVID-19 cases surge in the U.S.

Trump wore a black mask as he was visiting the Walter Reed military hospital outside Washington, where he met wounded soldiers and health care workers.

While leaving the White House Trump says to Fox News, "I've never been against masks but I do believe they have a time and a place.”

He also says, "I think when you're in a hospital, especially in that particular setting, where you're talking to a lot of soldiers and people that, in some cases, just got off the operating tables, I think it's a great thing to wear a mask."

"I'm all for masks," he added.

The United States has recorded a total of 3,355,646 number of coronavirus cases and the death toll has reached 137,403 till Sunday.
