Floods and rainstorms in Southern and Eastern China hit hard to many city areas since June 1, 2020.
Till now at least nine people have been killed and five others are missing in floods triggered by heavy rain.
Chinese state media had said that as of June 8, more than 1.76 million people have been affected by the extreme weather which has lashed areas of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Popular tourist areas that had already been battered by months of travel restrictions due to coronavirus pandemic had also got damaged which has brought great economic loss to the people.
The local government had said that more than 1,000 hotels had been flooded and more than 30 tourist sites got damaged.
The rain has also washed away railway lines and shut down road networks.
The heavy rain is forecast to continue for the next few days across parts of southern and eastern China.
