WHO advises Pakistan to return back to lockdown as number of coronavirus case rises

World Health Organization(WHO) advises Pakistan to return back to the lockdown as coronavirus cases are increasing in large numbers in the past few days.

According to WHO, Pakistan did not meet the criteria for easing the restrictions and cases have been seen to be increased to more than 4,000 a day over the past week.

According to Pakistan’s Express Tribune, “After partial relaxation of the lockdown measures on May 1, 2020, then followed by complete relaxation on May 22, 2020, the rate of spread of COVID-19 increased.”

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that further lockdown of the country will destroy the economy and affects the poor people of the country.

Pakistan has been ranked among the top 10 countries around the globe in reporting the highest number of new coronavirus cases.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan had reached to 1,13,702, total deaths are 2,255 and recovered is 36,308 till June 10, 2020.
