Captain Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona progressed into the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey by whipping Leganes at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona defeated Leganes 5–0 in Thursday's game at Nou Camp. Captain Lionel Messi scored two goals in Barcelona's win. Antoine Griezmann, Arthur and Clement Lenglet scored one goal each.

In the fourth minute of the game, Griezmann gave Barcelona the lead with a goal. Lenglet doubled Barcelona's lead in the 28th minute.

 Messi scored the third goal for Barcelona in the 59th minute. Arthur outscored Barcelona 4-0 in the 77th minute. With just one minute remaining, Messi scored a personal second goal to give the club a wide win.
