President of the United States Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that he is "extremely concerned" by recent events in Israel and will not invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House soon.

"Like many passionate Israel supporters, I am quite concerned. During a visit to North Carolina, Biden told reporters, "I want them to get this right." They cannot continue in this direction. I've made that fairly plain."

Biden stated that he hopes Netanyahu will behave "in such a way that he will attempt to reach a meaningful compromise."

Biden responded, "not shortly," when asked if he would welcome Netanyahu to the White House.

In response to a query on whether the United States interferes in Israel's domestic affairs, he stated, "We do not interfere. They are aware of my position."

They are aware of America's position. They are aware of the work of American Jews, he continued.

Netanyahu announced a temporary halt to the government's controversial plans for judicial reform on Monday in response to massive rallies in Israel over the past 12 weeks.

On trial for corruption, Netanyahu asserts that his initiatives will promote democracy and restore the proper balance between the legislative, executive, and judicial departments of government. Still, the opposition labels them a power grab.
