Sunday night, in response to a rocket, fired into the Jewish state the previous day, the Israel Defense Forces hit Hamas assets in the Gaza Strip.

According to an IDF statement, fighter jets hit an underground rocket production facility belonging to Hamas, dealing a blow to the Palestinian terrorist organization's ability to reinforce and arm itself.

According to the IDF, Israel holds Hamas accountable for all attacks emanating from Gaza.

During the Israeli attack, Palestinian terrorists fired four surface-to-air missiles at the jets, triggering alarms in the Israeli cities of Sderot and Kibbutz Ruhama, as well as bordering territories.

According to the IDF, three missiles detonated in midair, and one landed in a field.

There were no casualties or damages recorded.

In response, additional Israeli tanks attacked Hamas positions in Gaza.

Saturday night, the Iron Dome air defence system intercepted a missile fired by terrorists in Gaza into the Western Negev.

The IDF said sirens were heard in Kibbutz Nahal Oz at the Gaza-Israeli border.

There were no casualties or damages recorded.

On February 1, the Iron Dome also intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza.

Terrorists in the coastal enclave fired a volley of rockets at Israeli communities at the end of January, sparking retaliation strikes against Hamas military installations.
