Eneos Holdings Inc, Japan's largest refiner, announced that it would purchase Japan Renewable Energy for approximately 200 billion yen ($1.77 billion) to turn it into a wholly-owned subsidiary.
The purchase would be a first for a large Japanese oil corporation to make a significant renewables acquisition.
