A US Central Command spokesperson said in a statement that the United States has conducted an airstrike targeting an ISIS-K Planner.
Spokesperson Bill Urban said in a statement that the initial indications are that the target had been killed in the Airstrike.
"US military forces conducted an over-the-horizon counterterrorism operation today against an ISIS-K planner. The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan. Initial indications are that we killed the target," Captain Urban said in a statement.
"We know of no civilian causalities," he said.
The announcement of the airstrike came a day after Biden vowed to retaliate the attack at Kabul International Airport which killed 13 US service members and at least 170 others including Taliban personnel.
White House Press Secretary said on Friday that another attack on Kabul likely considering the situation.
