An explosion in Iraq's capital, Baghdad, killed several people on Thursday, according to police.
Several casualties were reported after an unidentified object exploded in a crowded location in the Kadhimiya neighborhood, according to a statement from Iraq's Security Media Cell.
The blast occurred near the gates leading to the shrines of Shia Muslims' seventh and ninth Imams, Imam Musa al-Kadhim and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad.
