Buckingham Palace revealed Princess Beatrice's pregnancy in an early morning tweet on Wednesday. It will be her first child with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, her husband.
The announcement said, "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in the autumn of this year." It also included a picture of the couple from their wedding day.
“The Queen has been told, and the news has been received with joy by both families.”
The timing of the announcement will undoubtedly raise eyebrows, as it comes on the third wedding anniversary of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
On Princess Beatrice's wedding day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stole the show from Princess Eugenie's niece, Princess Beatrice, by revealing to family that they were expecting Archie.
