As the Gaza Strip's worst confrontation in years began, Facebook took down a pro-Israel page with millions of followers.
According to CBN, founder of the "Jerusalem Prayer Group" Mike Evans said that critics targeted the site by publishing "more than a million" comments and then claiming they had never posted to the site.
“Radical Islamic groups made a concerted effort to achieve this goal,” Evans was quoted as saying.
“It was an ingenious, manipulative plot devised by Islamic radicals.”
He also said that the posts contained anti-Semitic remarks.
Evans didn't back up his point with evidence, but he was quoted in Arutz Sheva 7 as saying he hadn't spoken to Facebook representatives since the page was shut down on Friday.
