At least seven people died and fourteen others injured after several fuel tankers got ripped through by fire.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Tariq Arian said on Sunday that all the injured have been taken to the hospital and some have already been discharged.
It is not immediately clear that the fire was intentional or was just an accident. There have been security concerns in Afghanistan amid the delayed withdrawal of the US and the NATO troops from the country.
It appeared that one fuel tanker caught fire before the blaze spread to others parked nearby, according to Arian.
The Capital Kabul has been left in darkness due to the power outage caused by the blaze.
