CPRH, Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, has announced plans to set up a national unity government in the first week of April.
CPRH, a group of ousted lawmakers from the NLD, said in a statement that it has decided to form a national unity government to work for overthrowing the military regime and to draft a new constitution.
The new government is said to be formed under the Federal Democratic Charter, which was released on Wednesday.
According to the Charter that was released on Wednesday, the national unity government will be composed of a president, state counselor, two vice presidents, a prime minister, ministers, and deputies.
Following the release of the Federal Democracy Charter to the public, the CRPH also announced the repeal of the 2008 Constitution, saying it was designed to prolong military rule and prevent the emergence of a democratic federal union.
CPRH leaders also said the coup has violated the 2008 constitution and hence it has been nullified.
More than 536 people have been killed in Myanmar since the military coup.
