Taliban, on Friday, threatened to resume attacks and hostilities over the foreign troops in Afghanistan, if they do not withdraw before May 1 deadline.

The threat followed the US president saying it would be hard to meet the deadline.

Biden said during a Press Conference organized at the White House, “It's gonna be hard to meet the May 1 deadline. In terms of Tactical reasons, it's gonna be difficult to get the troops out.”

Taliban issued a statement on Friday saying that the group will continue its “Jihad and armed struggle against foreign forces to liberate its country.”

Taliban said the foreign troops getting out is the most sensible and the shortest path to ending the two-decades-long war in Afghanistan. The group also stated that it is committed to the agreement.

It also stated that those who fail to withdraw troops will be responsible for the prolongation of the conflict.
