Israel went through its fourth parliamentary election on Tuesday, after three inconclusive elections to form a stable government.
Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu hasn't been short of claiming early election victory for his ring-wing, nationalist, zionist alliance. He said he hoped for a stable government after three failed attempts to create one.
However, the results of exit polls show a different picture. Netanyahu's right-wing alliance is projected to win 60 seats out of 120 seats in the parliament by two channels and the third one estimates 59-61 in favor of the anti-Netanyahu left-alliance.
The right-wing parties have vowed to sit in government with Netanyahu to form a "strong right-wing government." Netanyahu is currently facing corruption charges at the Court.
However, all three options of government are possible as of now. A Netanyahu-led government, an anti-Netanyahu government, or an interim government leading to fifth elections.
The political deadlock in Israel has worsened the case for Israelis and Palestinians. and is exposing some dark and unstable side of the parliamentary system.
