In a car Bomb that struck near a police station in the western Herat province of Afghanistan, at least 8 people have been killed and more than 50 have lost their lives.
The blast targeted at a police station took place on Friday night. According to the spokesman for the Herat provincial governor, Jailani Farhad, dozens of houses and shops were damaged in the blast.
Herat Governor Sayed Abdul Wahid Qatali said that there were several women and children among the dead.
The attacks have been blamed on the Taliban but no groups have claimed the responsibility yet.
According to a cabinet spokesperson, at least 54 people have been injured in the incident.
According to a UN report released last month more than 8,820 civilians died in the year 200, in the military attacks in Afghanistan in such incidents.
Taliban, the often blamed group for such incidents, has not claimed the recent blasts and attacks.
