Pope Francis has completed his three-day tour to Iraq.

This is the pope's first official visit to Iraq. Pope Francis, 84, toured Iraq despite the security challenges.

He met with Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani, the supreme leader of the Shite Muslims, and members of the Christian community who have lived in Iraq for centuries.

Speaking at his last public ceremony on Sunday, Pope Francis said he saw friendship and hope in Iraq between the pain and sorrow.

He gave more than half a dozen public speeches in Iraq. He spoke in favor of hope and brotherhood.
