Tornado rips through coastal North Carolina, early morning on Tuesday. According to early reports, it has damaged houses and caused power outages.
According to the National Weather Service, people have been trapped in their homes in Ocean Ridge Plantation, a beach community that's less than an hour from Wilmington.

A tornado warning was issued around 11:45 p.m. Monday in Brunswick County, where about 15,000 residents were without power.

There has been no information on deaths and injuries caused by the tornado as of now.
