Yemeni people staged protests on the streets against the US decision to blacklist the Houthis as terrorists. According to a report by a local news agency, people staged several protests in the Northern Province of Sa'ada, on Friday afternoon.
The US Secretary of State for the outgoing Trump administration, Mike Pompeo has announced that the designation will take effect from January 19.
The protestors said that the decision is prompted by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. They also called the US "the mother of terrorism".
Washington's decision has drawn a lot of criticism from the United Nations, the European Union also the lawmakers inside the United state.
