Israel attacks overnight in the south of Syria, saying the targets were Iranian revolutionary guard bases.

Live coverage by the state media showed a Multi-storey building on fire. A military spokesman said missiles flying over the Golan Heights targeted several locations and air defenses downed several missiles. 

Israel has been targeting several bases in East, South, and Central Syria saying the bases are backed by Iran. 

Western intelligence sources say the recent  Israeli attack on Syria in the last few months are a part of a shadow war approved by the US and a part of the anti-Iran policy.

Israel says this as the part of anti-Iranian presence in Syria. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) later said that the Israeli strikes caused “deaths and injuries”.

Israel and Syria are still technically at war. Their border along the Golan Heights has been occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967.
