The series will feature creative director Neil Druckmann of The Last of Us and writer Craig Mazin of Chernobyl, with Druckmann also serving as the executive producer alongside Cheryl Strauss, who was behind shows such as Chernobyl and Game of Thrones, and Evan Wells, president of Naughty Dog, as well as Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan Productions.

Craig and Neil are visionaries in a league of their own, according to HBO's executive vice president of programming, Francesca Ori. This series is sure to resonate with both die-hard fans of The Last of Us' games and newcomers to this genre-defining saga, with them at the helm alongside the incomparable Carolyn Strauss.
