Bijaya’s global footprint extends beyond her native land; she served valiantly as a Peacekeeper and Senior Nursing Officer for the United Nations in Haiti during the MINUJUSTH operations from 2018 to 2019. In these challenging conditions, she brought critical healthcare to underserved populations while contributing to peacekeeping efforts, a testimony to her unwavering resolve and humanitarian spirit.
In 2023, her compassionate nursing care at Shannon Medical Center in Texas earned her another DAISY Award, solidifying her standing as an exemplary figure in the nursing community.
