Overnight, Russia launched a new series of air strikes against Kyiv, with officials in the Ukrainian capital claiming that air defense systems intercepted more than 20 cruise missiles.
The director of Kyiv's military administration, Serhiy Popko, stated via Telegram, "All were shot down, there were no hits"
Witnesses of Reuters reported hearing multiple explosions that resembled air defense systems while the city was under air raid alerts for more than four hours beginning shortly after midnight on Tuesday.
According to the military, falling debris damaged road surfaces and trolley system power cables in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. The district on the left bank of the Dnieper is the most populous in Kyiv.
Officials reported that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
