Multiple fatalities have been reported following a midair collision between two light aircraft at a California airport.
The city of Watsonville reported that the collision occurred at 2.56 p.m. local time.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Cessna 152 and a twin-engine Cessna 340 collided as they both made their final approaches.
There were a total of three individuals aboard the aircraft.
Images from the area revealed a destroyed shed or hangar, with debris scattered across the runway.
