Ohio Rally: Trump knocks Biden on border, hints at 2024 plans

Former President Donald Trump slammed the Biden administration's immigration policies during his first rally since leaving the White House on Saturday, hoping to re-energize Republicans to reclaim congressional majorities next year.

Trump, who appeared to enjoy being back in front of tens of thousands of fans, repeated his bogus assertion that his election loss in November 2020 was tainted by fraud.

When then-President-elect Joe Biden's election was about to be validated by lawmakers, Trump departed office in the aftermath of a deadly Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol by his followers, shortly after a rally in which he exhorted a crowd to "fight."

Trump has maintained strong control over the Republican Party, in part by leaving open the question of whether he will compete for government again in 2024, after surviving a second impeachment on a charge related to the violence.

On Saturday, he dangled that potential in front of the fans.

“We won the election twice, and it's probable we'll need to win it again. He responded, "It's conceivable."
