According to local sources, the wealthy daughter-in-law of British billionaire Lord Michael Ashcroft only admitted to unintentionally shooting dead a top police in Belize after being threatened with cocaine charges.
Police said, Jasmine Hartin, who was granted bail on Monday, initially claimed that San Pedro Superintendent Henry Jemmott was shot dead early Friday by someone on a passing boat.
She then went silent, but began cooperating once local authorities informed her that she would be prosecuted with cocaine possession, according to the station.
