Jeremy Corbell, a documentary filmmaker, and UFO enthusiast released footage of an unidentified flying object (UFO) disappearing into the water off the coast of California. The video was captured by the US Navy off the coast of San Diego in July 2019, according to Jeremy Corbell.
The video shows a dark spherical object flying over the ocean and then disappearing into the sea, as seen from an infrared camera.
When the object vanishes, military personnel can be heard saying, "it splashed." Corbell posted the leaked video on May 15th.
The video was reportedly captured by military forces, according to the US Department of Defense.
The Pentagon's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force will study and evaluate the video, which was established in 2020 to "gain insight into the existence and sources of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena."
In an email to The Debrief, Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough reported that the video was taken by Navy personnel and that the UAPTF included it in their ongoing investigations.
The leaked UFO footage has received a lot of attention on social media, with over 900,000 views on Twitter.
According to Jeremy Corbell, the UFO appeared to be "transmedium capable." To put it another way, the UFO seems to be capable of traveling through both air and water.
According to Jeremy Corbell's website, "it is noted in intelligence reports that the 'spherical' craft could not be identified upon entry to the water - that a submarine was used in the search - and recovered nothing."
According to Corbell, the video was captured by a Navy crew onboard the USS Omaha on July 15, 2019.
Several observations of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena - the Pentagon's word for UFOs - were confirmed by the Navy in 2019. The USS Omaha was one of the ships that witnessed UFO sightings along the California coast.
The Pentagon officially released three short UFO videos taken by Navy pilots in 2004 and 2005 in the year 2020.
