NASA releases audio recordings of Martian winds sent back by the Perseverance rover which made landing on the red planet on the 18th of February.
The recordings made by SuperCam on the rover were released by NASA on sound cloud.
The laser sounds can give researchers an idea about the composition of rocks on the red planet.
The rover’s mast, holding the microphone, was still stowed on Perseverance’s deck, and so the sound is muffled.
Perseverance rover is on a mission to find out if life ever existed on Mars.
Scientists say, if life ever flourished on Mars it would have been about 3-4 billion years ago when there was still plenty of water on Mars.
