Ivory Coast's prime minister, Hamid Bakayoko, has died in Germany. 

Prime Minister Hamid died at a German hospital after suffering from cancer, the president's office said. 

Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara tweeted that Prime Minister Hamed, who was being treated for cancer in Germany, had died on Wednesday, leaving the country in mourning. 

He said the 56-year-old prime minister had worked tirelessly for the country and was a model for the youth, adding that the country had lost a talented politician since his death.
